VP, Battle Pass and Ranked

How to earn Victory Points, what the Battle Pass gives and how Ranked tiers work.

Checked on Nov 1, 2026

Victory Points (VP)

VP is the main currency. You use it to recruit Pokémon permanently, train them, refresh the Roster Ranch and buy items and cosmetics in the shop. You can't buy VP directly.

  • Ranked battles: wins give more, losses give a little.
  • Daily and weekly missions.
  • Ranking up, and the end-of-season reward.
  • Battle Pass levels.
  • Tutorials: the Doubles battle tutorial gives 10,000 VP once.

Battle Pass

Each season (M-1, M-2…) has a Battle Pass with a free track and a paid one. It gives Pokémon, Teammate Tickets, Training Tickets, Quick Coupons and VP. Most cosmetics are on the paid track. The current Battle Pass Pokémon are listed on the events page.

Ranked: tiers and ranks

  • There are five tiers: Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Master Ball and Champion.
  • Every tier except Champion has ranks 4 (lowest) to 1.
  • Winning earns rank points and win streaks speed up the climb; losing costs points.
  • You can drop ranks within a tier, but you never fall back to a lower tier in the same season.
  • At the end of the season, everyone starts again in the lowest tier.
  • Singles and Doubles have separate rankings.

Rewards

Reaching a new tier gives titles, box space and VP. The end-of-season VP reward grows with the tier you finish in. Values can change from season to season.
